The WAYS 2020/2021 lacrosse season will consist of the following program(s) to provide a stepping stone for players looking for a more competitive season than pure recreational lacrosse but not ready for the time/financial commitment of a travel lacrosse season:
Practices: Fall team practice will be held once per week (Day and location TBD) along with a weekly stick skills practice (Day and location TBD) starting in early September through the end of October. These sessions will run 60-90 minutes depending on sunset times. One 90 minute practice each week over 10 weeks in the Winter (most likely on Sat/Sun mornings at a yet to be determined indoor facility). Spring (specifics to be determined – 90 minute practices);
One (1) Fall tournament
One (1) Spring/Summer tournaments
League Games: Fall Ball recreational league; Spring – NGLL (or similar) travel team league.
Yoga/Mindfulness: ten (10) 60 minute sessions with a professional yoga/mindfulness instructor.
Game Video Footage Review: throughout the season, coaches will share game video through HUDL with players and full team game footage review sessions.
Optional - Basketball: Winter – participation in a City of Rockville or similar basketball team.
