Sharks Coaches: About Us

Coach Casey

Casey Fletcher - Coach Casey graduated from Academy of the Holy Cross High School (“AHC”) where she played both field hockey and lacrosse, reaching the WCAC Championship game in each of her four years in Field Hockey and claiming the WCAC titles in 2006 and 2008.  She was awarded First Team All-American field hockey honors in 2008 and second team honors in 2007 and she proudly served as a team captain during her senior season. With the AHC Lacrosse team, she advanced to the WCAC Championship twice, was chosen as a “Player to Watch” by the Gazette Newspaper and named the team’s Most Valuable Player in her junior season. Coach Casey graduated from Elizabethtown College where she played all four years of field hockey and lacrosse. She helped the Blue Jays appear in four lacrosse MAC Championships winning the MAC in 2010, 2012, and 2013 and played in three NCAA tournaments. Coach Casey is currently the Varsity Lacrosse Coach at Wootton High School. She has also coached for various club and recreational lacrosse teams,  Bethesda-Chevy Chase Varsity Field Hockey and AHC Varsity Field Hockey.

Coach Lauren

Lauren Zucconi - Coach Lauren graduated from Quince Orchard High School where she played both field hockey and soccer. She returned to be the JV Field Hockey Coach and Assistant Varsity Field Hockey Coach from 2001 to 2003, helping to guide the Cougars to the state championship in 2001.  Coach Lauren has directed various youth development programs, starting with field hockey and transitioning to lacrosse when she fell in love with the game.  She has successfully expanded club rosters and developed youth female athletes.  She currently serves as the Head JV Lacrosse Coach and the Assistant Varsity Coach for Wootton High School. Coach Zucconi loves developing and empowering female athletes to be the best they can be on and off the field.

Coach Ray

Ray Krouse – Coach Ray is the oldest of two brothers that grew up in Montgomery County playing baseball for most of his life and then coaching youth recreational, youth club and High School teams in various sports, including lacrosse, field hockey, basketball and track.  He lives in Rockville with his wife, two daughters and their spoiled labradoodle.
